behold, Kelley Johnson's masterpiece and the most world-renowned jet plane to date- the SR-71 Blackbird. It currently holds both the world speed and altitude records, and it is likely it will never be beaten.
I know both the Space Shuttle and X-15 beat the SR-71 for speed, but they're rockets, not jets. they don't count. The SR-71 is still the world record holder. not to mention being one of the most beautiful planes to take to the skies. now if only i'd had those engine intakes in black instead of yellow...
